Free Concerts “Spring” Into Seasonal Action
The Nippon Foundation will literally “spring” into seasonal action this month on 10 March with its 149th free lunchtime concert. The theme promises to be an enjoyable harbinger of “genial sunshine of spring.”
The featured artist is Ms Kaoru Kameyama, a superbly talented pianist who has studied widely in Europe. Her repertoire of choices for the upcoming concert will include Liszt and Shubert.
Academically, Ms Kameyama has a highly diversified background. She attended high school in Kobe and New Zealand, and graduated from Doshisha Women’s University Faculty of Fine Arts. She then earned an graduate school honor’s degree at the Zurich’s National University of Music.
Kameyama then studied in Europe with master piano professors Markus Becker, Milan Skamapa, Alexander Lonquich, and Michael Endres. Her musical record in Europe includes many performances in Italy, Switzerland, Germany, and the Czech Republic where she has been warmly received by audiences.

After returning to Japan, she has performed solo recitals and played under the direction of the country’s finest orchestral directors. She takes great joy in performing for hospital audiences.
The Nippon Foundation is indeed proud to introduce Ms Kameyama to the audience of its highly acclaimed lunchtime concerts.
Ms Kameyama’s concert on 12 March will be from 12:10 to 12:50 in the lobby of the The Nippon Foundation’s building, located a short distance walk from the Ginza Line’s Toranomon Station, the Marunochi Line’s Kokkaigijidomae Station, and the Nanboku Line’s Tameike-sanno Station.
