Outline of Activities

The Scandinavia-Japan Sasakawa Foundation works to enhance friendly relations between Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Iceland, and Japan, promotes exchanges between the people of the six countries, enhances international understanding, and works for peace.

The foundation seeks to achieve these objectives through grants to organizations, institutions, and citizens of Japan and the Nordic countries. In particular, it aids in the promotion of education and R&D in the natural sciences, medicine, the humanities and social sciences, and also supports exchanges within these fields.
