A. We only provide financial support to not-for-profit organizations on a project basis; we do not give grants directly to individuals. Although we receive many requests for financial support to individuals for medical needs, seminar participation, and educational opportunities, our mandate does not allow us to provide direct donations to individuals regardless of their needs, unless the request falls under one of the scholarship / fellowship programs supported by The Nippon Foundation.
A. For our internal processing, we need to receive the actual proposal package by regular mail.

For projects that mainly target beneficiaries based in Japan, the deadline for application generally falls near the end of October. Please refer to this page for more information on the application process for projects to be conducted in Japan (information in Japanese only).
