TURN – First Joint Exhibition by 4 Art Brut MuseumsNational Tour to Start from Kyoto’s Mizunoki Museum of Art

Four art museums dedicated to displaying art brut in Japan are about to hold their first joint exhibition: TURN – From Land to Sea (Exploring People’s Innate Capabilities). The exhibition will travel around Japan, beginning with the Mizunoki Museum of Art in Kyoto. The exhibition’s first day will include a media viewing and an opening event for the general public.

The exhibition will tour four museums the Nippon Foundation has supported since their respective openings: the Mizunoki Museum of Art in Kyoto Prefecture (November 8, 2014 to January 12, 2015), the Tomonotsu Museum in Hiroshima Prefecture (February 1, 2015 to March 29, 2015), the Museum of Art Warakoh in Kochi Prefecture (July 12, 2015 to September 23, 2015), and the Hajimari Art Center in Fukushima Prefecture (April 18, 2015 to June 28, 2015).
