The Nippon Foundation has organized a side event at the 8th session of the Conference of States Parties to the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, to be held 9-11 June 2015. This side event, through presentations and discussion by various stakeholders, will seek broader participation of persons with disabilities in global decision-making processes including UN Conferences and systems for more inclusive and significant development. The result of the discussion is expected to contribute to further inclusion of persons with disabilities in UN Agencies, on-going work on the post-2015 development framework, and global governance processes.
