International Expert Symposium in Fukushima - Radiation and Health Risks -
The Nippon Foundation will be holding an international symposium on Radiation and Health Risks in Fukushima from Sept. 11-12, 2011. This is the first time in the world that an international symposium of worldwide experts on radiation and health-related fields will take place.
The symposium will have top experts at the forefront of radiation research to share their findings and to make a collective scientific evaluation on the health risks faced by people living in Fukushima and to support efforts of the planned “Fukushima Residents’ Health Management Survey”. There will be a total of 30 participants representing 14 countries including Russia and the United States as well as from international organizations including the WHO and IAEA.
While the symposium will be a discussion between experts in the field, we will use Ustream to broadcast the entire proceedings to the general public from this page.
