Outline of Activities

The Great Britain Sasakawa Foundation works to enhance the mutual appreciation and understanding of the people of Great Britain and Japan at the popular level. It actively promotes and supports programs in:

• Science & Technology
• Medicine & Health
• Environmental & Social issues
• Japanese studies
• Japanese language

While the majority of its emphasis is in these areas, the foundation also supports Arts & Culture; Humanities and Social Issues; Schools, Education, and Youth Exchange; and Sports.
