Outline of Activities

The Nippon Ginkenshibu Foundation promotes the traditional Japanese arts of Gin-ei, Ken-bu, and Shi-bu.

• Gin-ei: public recitation of modern Japanese and classical Chinese poems, haiku, and tanka
• Ken-bu: gin-ei recitation, accompanied by a sword dance
• Shi-bu: gin-ei recitation, accompanied by a fan dance

The foundation’s efforts to popularize Ginkenshibu include the conducting of instructor’s workshops, recitals, festivals, and seasonal competitions.
