An international symposium will take place on October 22, jointly organized by the Japan Echo Foundation and the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung with support from the Nippon Foundation.
International Symposium “Media Reporting and Risk Management After the March 11 Disaster”
The purpose of the symposium is to reassess the impact of March 11 on media, industry, and government with a view to improving public policy on risk management and reporting. After a keynote speech by Bill Emmott, former editor of The Economist, there will be two sessions of panel discussions. The symposium aims to make proposals for the future based on a global perspective and international expertise.
